Will my scan be eligible for reimbursement?
Eligibility depends on your reason for the scan. Diagnostic ultrasounds performed to investigate documented symptoms — such as pelvic pain, painful periods, suspected endometriosis, or fertility concerns — are generally considered eligible medical expenses under IRS guidelines.
Scans performed without documented symptoms may not qualify. Sonarus cannot guarantee reimbursement — approval is determined by your plan administrator. To strengthen your superbill, be thorough when describing your symptoms during intake.
If your FSA or HSA plan requires a physician referral for reimbursement, check with your administrator before booking. Sonarus does not require a referral, but your plan may.
