What We Evaluate

Pelvic Compartments

• Areas where endometriosis commonly develops

• Tissue changes or nodules that may be suggestive of disease

• Scar tissue or organs that appear tethered together (adhesions)

Ovaries

• Endometriomas (ovarian cysts associated with endometriosis)

• Ovarian mobility and surrounding tissue changes

• Other cysts or notable findings when present

Deep Pelvic Structures

• Areas behind the uterus where deeper disease can occur

• Findings that may be associated with deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE)

• Signs of restricted movement or deeper involvement

Additional Pelvic Findings

• Fibroids, adenomyosis, cysts, or other conditions that may contribute to symptoms

• Findings that may benefit from additional imaging or specialist follow-up

Why It Matters

This exam is designed to support next steps when endometriosis is suspected or symptoms remain unexplained. Specialized ultrasound may identify findings associated with endometriosis, reveal other contributors to pelvic pain, and help guide referrals or treatment planning with greater clarity.

Because endometriosis can be complex, imaging does not detect every case, and a normal scan does not invalidate symptoms or exclude the need for further evaluation.

Fertility Insight Ultrasound

A focused ultrasound designed to support fertility evaluations by assessing ovarian reserve, reproductive anatomy, and cycle-related findings that may impact conception planning or treatment.

Ovarian Reserve

• Antral follicle count (AFC), commonly used as one measure of egg reserve

• Ovarian size and overall appearance

• Ovarian morphology

Ovarian Health

• PCOS

• Cysts or other abnormalities when present

• Structural findings that may benefit from follow-up

Uterus & Uterine Lining

• Uterine shape and anatomy

• Fibroids or other structural findings

• Uterine lining thickness and appearance

Cycle Insight

• Follicle measurement for conception timing or monitoring

• Cycle-related changes when clinically relevant
